Sustainable Screens by DT Structures

Fabric screen

Here we have the lovely Broyney (a key member of our loft team) modelling DT Structures’ latest fabric structure: sustainable and cost-effective screens for Holt Exhibitions.

To make these screens we printed onto translucent Flag polyester producing a reverse image, following which a black stretch fabric was sewn onto the structure and then zipped over an aluminium frame.

When Broyney is not working away on the sewing machines in the loft, she is an accomplished photographer as well as a dab hand at horse riding!

Metal Work

Prior to shipping our structures are broken down into small manageable sizes making them much easier to handle, as shown in the above image of an aluminium framework with a mild steel base, manufactured by our Bristol based steelwork partner Creative Metalwork.

Reassembly is no problem: individual sections of the framework easily slot together resulting in pleasingly short build times.

Once disassembled all elements of the structure are compactly packed down and ready to ship all over the world, in this case Germany. Each and every individual part of our designs is durable and reusable.

DT Structures Stand for Hyder Wins the Environment and Energy Award.

awardThis award was for the most eco-friendly custom-built stand at Sustainabilitylive! 2009, which took place in the Birmingham NEC.  Once again our all printed tensioned fabric structures showed off their unique and environmentally friendly style, standing out amongst the competition.

stand

The exhibition stand was designed and engineered to maximize sustainability, minimizing negative environmental impact .What better way to achieve this aim than by using tensioned fabric structures?!

The thematic roof sails and freestanding snail curve of the central structure reflect the ecological thinking which informs all of our designs. Nothing you see here will end up in a land-fill!

With investment in DT Structures sales will grow and grow! Come and see more examples on our website http://www.dtstructures.com
